Question2 [Filtering operation by moduler]


Band 1[FMO]

Choosing Band 1 in Import control panel



Connect Import-FMO-Export and Viewer

Band 2 [FME]

Open a new moduler 

 Double click the IMPORT icon and choose one band (I chose band 2)


In the FME Module Control Panel, make sure that Filter size is 3*3

Connect <Import- FME – export> and Viewer as well

BAND 3   
a. FAV (Averaging(Mean) Filter)

Choose Band 3(TM3)

In the FAV control panel, set Filter X and Y size as 3

b. FGA (Gaussian Filter)
 
In the FGA control panel, I put  value 2  in order to have high pass cutoff

Run the patch

Output
 c.Maximum Noise Fraction Based Noise Removal
Operating MNFNR algorithm
Set both TM4 and TM5 as base bands
and TM3 as Noisy Channel 






Question 2: Filtering through PCI Focus


Make a grayscale image through Band 3

It will show many dots all over the image.
Right click the band from the MAP tap, and click ‘Filter’


   Try all filter options in Low Pass filter & High Pass Filter.  
  By Clicking ‘’Apply to image” button, it will be able to find 
which filter processing can eliminate the ‘dots noise’
